Outside of the operating room, she enjoys playing soccer and tennis, as well as indulging in her love of car racing. Dr. Lockwood shares her home with two rambunctious dogs, a cat named Remy, and her beloved Miata.

Dr. Amirah Nasr is a board-certified small animal internist dedicated to diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions in dogs and cats. She has a special interest in gastroenterology, endocrinology, infectious disease, and autoimmune disease and is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Nasr believes in the importance of clear communication and setting realistic expectations, ensuring that pet owners feel informed and empowered throughout their pet’s medical journey. She takes a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine, working closely with pet owners and referring veterinarians to develop tailored treatment plans that prioritize both medical excellence and quality of life for each patient.

About Dr. Nasr

When she’s not treating patients, Dr. Nasr is likely lifting heavy things and putting them back down—with a little extra flair—alongside her husband, Jan, as they tackle CrossFit workouts together. She also loves hitting the trails for a good hike and hunting down the best coffee shops and restaurants in town, always on the lookout for her next favorite meal.

Dr. Nasr shares her home with her husband Jan, stepson Alfie, and a lively crew of pets. Finn, their spotted cattle dog mix, keeps everyone on their toes, while their two British Shorthair cats, Chicken and Rice (named after their household’s most-consumed meal), happily rule the roost. Life is a perfect blend of family, fitness, food, and of course—plenty of furry cuddles.

Dr. Brolin Evans is a board-certified veterinary medical oncologist specializing in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of pets with cancer. His passion for oncology stems from personal experiences with cancer in both family members and his own pets, shaping his empathetic and individualized approach to patient care. Dr. Evans is deeply committed to treating every pet as if they were his own, fostering a compassionate bond with both the animals and their families.

Understanding that a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, Dr. Evans takes the time to thoroughly explain treatment options, ensuring pet families feel informed and supported. He tailors each treatment plan to the unique needs of his patients and respects the decisions of pet owners, recognizing that treatment may not always be the right choice for every family.

About Dr. Evans

Outside of work, Dr. Evans enjoys maintaining his impressive 600-gallon reef aquarium, home to over 60 saltwater fish. Music is another passion of his—he finds it to be a source of relaxation and creative expression. He plays the piano and sings at his church on Sundays. In warmer weather, you will find him in the yard planting flowers for the pollinators. During the Christmas season, he enjoys decking the halls and creating a winter wonderland!

Dr. Evans and his wife, Leah, are both natives of Cartersville, GA, where he grew up on a farm. They are proud parents of twin daughters, Arden and Aubrey, and share their home with two beloved dogs, Coco (a Cocker Spaniel mix) and Rosie (a Brussels Griffon).

Dr. Sarah Camp is a dedicated emergency veterinarian with a specialized focus on stabilizing critically ill and injured pets. With years of experience in emergency medicine, Dr. Camp is passionate about providing immediate, high-quality treatment to animals in urgent need of medical attention. She excels in diagnosing and stabilizing acute illnesses and trauma, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care tailored to their specific condition. Dr. Camp enjoys working with other specialties within the hospital, ensuring a collaborative approach to patients that require more long-term or specific care for their diseases.   Dr. Camp’s approach is grounded in a deep understanding of the complexities of veterinary emergencies, and she strives to provide comfort and clarity to both pets and their families during challenging moments. Her commitment to animal welfare and her ability to remain calm under pressure make her a trusted provider during life’s scary moments.

Whether hiking through the mountains or boating in the Caribbean, Dr. Camp finds joy in discovering new places and making memories with her friends and family.
