While we don’t require it, we typically work closely with your veterinarian to make sure your pet has complete care and that any follow up goes as smoothly as possible. Having medical records and communicating with veterinarians you have seen previously improves the quality of care we can provide.

Our goal is to determine the best care possible for your pet that aligns with your goals and best fits their needs and your resources.  We will always give you clear estimates and updates. Full payment is required at the time of service and we require deposits on all hospitalized patients. We can direct you to outside payment programs (CareCredit, Scratch Pay, AllPets). You may also want to consider insurance for your pet(s) (Pawlicy Advisor) although there typically are pre-existing condition restrictions.

We are always here for you and your pet. Ideally, you’ve downloaded our app and any communication initiated there immediately gets you to the right place as soon as possible:

• Status update on your hospitalized pet.
• General question about your pet including medications and at-home care, recheck appointments, and overall progress.
• Scheduling an appointment.
• Getting a refill.

Most pet insurance companies work directly with you through reimbursement. We will provide any documentation the company requires for your claim. We do require full payment at the time of service. For more information, visit our Payment Options page.

It is important to have a primary veterinarian to keep your pet(s) healthy and focus on prevention. When there are advanced care needs, we are here for you! And, if we don’t provide the type of care your pet needs, we will still do our best to get you to the right place. Typically, your veterinarian will recognize when your pet needs the help of a specialist and they will help connect you to us. If you do not have a primary care veterinarian or for some reason feel you need our help without first going to your veterinarian, please reach out to us. If you have any concerns, please immediately bring your pet in! If you are unsure, feel free to call us. Some typical signs of a true emergency are: Significant trauma – hit by car, dog or wildlife fight, uncontrolled bleeding, seizuring and convulsions, difficulty breathing, listlessness and non-responsive, ingestion of suspected toxin (poison control line), persistent diarrhea or vomiting, no urination.

We work as a team! We will always keep your veterinarian fully informed on the care we are providing and the medical records are always available to them through a portal. Depending on what type of care, medications and follow up your pet needs, you may be returning to your veterinarian’s clinic.

You will get regular updates from the team caring for your pet and we are always available to answer any questions. You are always welcome to visit your pet and we will work with you to determine the best time to do so.

Every pet and every health condition is a bit different and we work to find the best approach for you and your pet. You can expect very clear information verbally discussed with you, written in an easy-to-follow manner, and access to the Care Navigation and specialty team to help answer any questions. We’ll also make sure you get scheduled as needed for follow up with either us or your primary care veterinarian.
