Internal Medicine
When the underlying cause of illness in your pet is not straightforward or easy to treat – it can feel scary and overwhelming without the right guidance or support.
At Arista, we understand the gravity of not only diagnosing a disease correctly, but also open communication regarding the expectations, therapy involved, and long-term plans each step of the way. Veterinary Internal Medicine focuses on diagnosing and treating complex conditions that can affect your pet’s major internal organs. This specialty focuses on diseases that involve the liver, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system and immune system. As veterinary internists, we utilize advanced diagnostics, such as ultrasound, endoscopy, and specialized blood tests to help diagnose and treat your pet’s underlying condition. Our team is here to provide expert care, tailored diagnostics, and an ideal treatment plan to help your pet feel their best and ensure that you feel educated and supported while doing so!
Cardiology
Learning that your pet may have a heart condition can be scary and overwhelming. At Arista, we prioritize spending extra time explaining the disease process and treatment options in detail to ensure you feel informed and supported.
Our cardiology team focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system). Early diagnosis and appropriate therapy for cardiac disease can help your pet live a longer, healthier life. We believe every pet is unique, which is why we work closely with your primary veterinarian to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each pet and their family. Our primary goal is to enhance your pet’s quality of life every step of the way.
Emergency
At Arista, we know that emergencies can happen at any time, day or night. That’s why our Emergency Team is available 24/7 to provide life-saving care when your pet needs it most. Whether it’s an accident, sudden illness, or critical health crisis, our highly trained veterinarians and support staff are prepared to manage a wide range of emergency situations with skill and compassion.
We are equipped to handle cases involving trauma, toxicities, seizures, respiratory distress, gastrointestinal issues, severe pain, and more. Using advanced diagnostic tools and treatment protocols, our team acts quickly to stabilize your pet, assess their condition, and develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to their needs.
We also work closely with your primary care veterinarian to ensure seamless continuity of care. Our triage system allows us to prioritize treatment based on the severity of each case, ensuring the most critical patients receive immediate attention.
Critical Care
Our Critical Care Specialists (Criticalists) have completed an intensive three-year residency program accredited by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC), equipping them with the advanced skills required to manage the most complex and life-threatening conditions including severe trauma, acute illness, respiratory distress, cardiovascular emergencies and complex surgical cases.
At Arista, our Critical Care team is available seven days a week to provide intensive, life-saving treatments for critically ill or injured pets. These patients often require constant monitoring, rapid intervention, and advanced diagnostics to properly diagnose and stabilize their condition. Our Criticalists work closely with other specialty departments and your primary care veterinarian to deliver collaborative, high-level care tailored to your pet’s unique needs.
Access to a veterinary Critical Care specialist can make all the difference when minutes matter—and at Arista, we’re here to give your pet the best possible chance at recovery.
